Transitional Kindergarten

Transitional Kindergarten gives 4 and 5 year olds without prior preschool experience the opportunity to begin kindergarten early. Children who qualify will participate in an extended kindergarten experience this year and then complete a full year of kindergarten during the 2023-24 school year.

Employee Excellence Awards

The Employee Excellence Awards are a great way to recognize individual employees and small teams (three people maximum) who create a positive, caring and productive school environment through exceptional effort, dedication or performance in their areas of responsibility.


Awards for Oct-Dec 2022 will be presented in person at the Dec. 13 VPS Board Meeting. Beginning January 2023, awards will be presented each month.


Staff, students, and parents are welcome to submit nominations. Nominations for Feb. 2023 are open until Jan. 10 on this website page.


Premios a la Excelencia del Empleado

Los Premios a la Excelencia del Empleado son una gran manera de reconocer a los empleados individualmente o en equipos pequeños (máximo de tres personas) que crean un entorno escolar positivo, agradable y productivo por medio del esfuerzo, dedicación o desempeño excepcional en sus áreas de responsabilidad.


Los premios de octubre a diciembre de 2022 se presentarán en persona durante la reunión de la Junta Directiva de VPS el 13 de diciembre. A partir de enero de 2023, los premios se presentarán cada mes.

Replacement Levy will be on February Ballot

On Nov. 15, our board of directors finalized plans for our replacement levy to be on the Feb. 14, 2023 election ballot for approval. This renewal levy would be for four years, 2024-2027, and would replace the existing education and operations levies that expire at the end of 2023.


The education and operations levy makes up 12.5% of VPS’ budget and helps to pay for basic programs and services including: teachers and support staff, educational programs, special education services, athletics, band and other extracurricular activities, safety and security measures, classroom supplies, textbooks and equipment, maintenance of buildings and grounds, utilities, insurance and fuel.

15 ноября наш Совет директоров утвердил план о включении пункта о замене налогового сбора в бюллетень для голосования, которое будет проходить 14 февраля 2923 года.
