Dear DRRHS Falcon Community:
Thank you for your support this week. We appreciate your attendance at parent-teacher conferences as well as your support in making sure your 10th graders were ready for MCAS testing. The MCAS attendance was excellent and the students' cooperation with all of the rules and regulations was exemplary. All students and parents should feel proud!
Going forward, please keep in mind that term 3 closes on April 10th, next Friday is a holiday, and we have two weeks until vacation. Spring is here!
Sincerely,
Gail DeCecco, Principal
Donald Izzo, Assistant Principal for Grades 10 & 12
Ai-Ling Chang, Assistant Principal for Grades 9 & 11

STUDENT GOVERNMENT DAY
Today, seniors Angelina Cabral and Aaron Prata went to the state house in Boston to participate in Student Government Day and serve as senators representing our school. This program enables students from Massachusetts's public and private high schools with many opportunities to learn first hand about state government. It enables government officials to have contact with students and allows students to voice their positions on important current issues through prepared debates. This year students debated bills on lowering the voting age in municipal elections and the value of increasing healthy options for school lunches. Students were able to participate in the legislative process through simulated committee hearings and House and Senate formal sessions. It was an excellent opportunity for students to exchange their views with their peers throughout the state on these issues. Congratulations, Angie and Aaron!
