Volleyball Registration for Fall 2023 Season
Incoming 4th Grade Girls: Volleyball 101 is an excellent way to be introduced to the fundamentals of volleyball. We are looking for a volunteer to lead this practice ONE DAY/week. There are NO GAMES and NO FEES. Please reach out to Christi (schills@cox.net) if you would be interested in coaching/leading this practice. Safe Environment training must be current.
PAL volleyball season is August 25 - October 28 with games on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
We are so thankful for our volleyball co-coordinators: Christi Schill and Denise Bash.

St. Cecilia Math Program
For the 23-24 school year, we'll continue to use Sadlier Mathematics for Grades 1-6 and Sadlier Progress in Mathematics for Grades 7 & 8. We will continue using EnVision Math for our Kindergarten students.
We will also be using Simple Solutions for all students in Grades 3-8 next year. We have found this supplemental program helps with retrieval and interleaving (questions come up from previously learned chapters/units so they cannot just learn it and forget it).
Duchesne/St. Cecilia Advanced Math Program
Below is an attachment that outlines the qualifying factors for students to participate in this program:
- STAR Math Scale Score of 1100 or higher for Fall and Winter testing
- STAR Math Scale Score of 1140 or higher for Spring testing
- Grade Equivalency of 9th grade or higher
- Percentile Rank of 90% or higher
- Students must have a B+ or higher on all subjects for Quarters 1, 2, 3, and 4
- Students must have minimal tallies on their daily passports; with E's and S's on their report card for Quarters 1, 2, 3, and 4
Mrs. Stoffel and Mrs. Pick will be communicating with parents whose children have met the above qualifications. This is an advanced math program that is designed for students who are excelling both academically and behaviorally. If your child does not qualify, this is not taking anything away from them as they will still participate in their regular math program here at St. Cecilia.
Another way to look at this: If your child is a strong soccer player, you may have them try out for the Olympic Development Program. After the tryouts, maybe they don't make the team because of certain subjective qualifications. This does not mean that your child is not good at soccer but only that they are not meeting the qualifications for that particular program. And chances are, your child is playing on a club or school team.
