Message for the Week:

As many of you know, I have spent the last 3 days at Camp Lakewood for Leadership Academy at an event called Outdoor Leadership Experience. I went in with a very fixed mindset, feeling like there could be no reason for me to spend 3 nights in the woods to improve my leadership skills. I am thrilled to share with you that it was one of the best experiences of my life. I plan on reflecting on this over the next few newsletters but I just wanted to remind you how important it is to rely on each other for strength. This is the time of year when we start to lose our momentum and feel overwhelmed. Just remember that you are making such a difference in the lives of your students and you always have a cheerleading squad with your team, Liz, and myself!

Let's spend some time this week celebrating the accomplishments -both students and personally- over the next week!

Staff Meeting: Here is the link to our agenda. Be sure to read your chapter/s for our book study time. If you don't remember what your team committed to reading, check the agenda.

Friday, October 13th: See the schedule in the drive. Character committee will be sharing an activity so please make a time to meet with your buddy class. There will be no assembly due to the shortened day. Please ask students to wear their t-shirts.

Read Aloud: If you would like to have a read aloud break this week or next, please email Liz (Grades K, 2, 4) or Angie (1, 3, 5).

Academic All Stars will be Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. for Concord. We love to have 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade teachers attend!
