Boston/NYC Trip
TTU School of Human Sciences
Greetings families of Lubbock,
The Social Influence on Brain and Socioemotional Development (SIBS) Lab at Texas Tech is seeking families to participate in a research study! We are looking for families with at least 2 teenage children, one in 7th or 8th grade, and an older teen within 1-4 years. This study includes a visit to the Texas Tech campus for about 3 hours to complete surveys, games for the teens, and an MRI scan of the younger teen's brain. Due to the magnetic nature of the MRI, exclusions from participation include the younger teen having braces, rods/ screws/other metals/implants in their body, and use of psychiatric medication. Your family will be compensated $100 for participation, as well as receive resources related to furthering your children's education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Additionally, as this is a longitudinal study, if your family wants to return to participate next year, your family will receive another $100.
This is a great opportunity to expose your kids to scientific research and get them excited for college while also being involved in the community! Interested and wondering if your family qualifies? Please fill out the screen survey linked below:

Thank you for your consideration! My research team and I look forward to hearing from you.
Warmly,
Dr. Christy Rogers, Director of the SIBS Lab
Assistant Professor of Human Development and Family Sciences

2. If your student isn't going to be a paying customer, they do not need to be there for the sake of hanging out or waiting for a ride.
Let's do our part as a Pirate community to help these businesses out.
