SEL Second Step Program
Dear Parents,
In this weekโs Second Step lesson, your child will brainstorm different strategies they can try when theyโre having trouble learning something new, how to learn from mistakes, and how to evaluate their progress toward a goal and change their plan accordingly.
One way to engage with your child this week is to tell your child about a time you needed to change your approach to learn something new, about a mistake you made in the past, and what you learned from it. Ask your child to tell you about something theyโre working hard to learn, and If you can, offer to help them think about how to keep moving forward if theyโve run into roadblocks.
