Rube Goldberg Machine Contest

The Quad Cities is the only venue in our region hosting an event connected to the nationwide Rube Goldberg Machine Contest on Feb. 15. The Putnam will host teams in the elementary, middle and high school divisions, who will dream up and build their own working Rube Goldberg machines and compete to advance to face the top builders in the country. Registration cut-off is Jan. 31.
4H Winter Day Camps

Every Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. and Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. is Mini Masters! Introduce your children ages two to seven to the world of art with FREE classes! Each class consists of a story and two crafts that relate to the story. Each month is a different theme. February's theme is "The Wonderful World of Jan Brett". No registration required.
Show your Valentine you care and make them a vintage Victorian Valentine on Saturday, February 8th. Free class, register by February 7th.
Not sure what to do on a quiet Saturday afternoon? Stop by the Muscatine Art Center February 15 anytime between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. for a quick and easy make-and-take project. Don't want to make it here? Grab a bag and take it home! Free, no registration required.
February 26th is National Tell a Fairy Tale Day! Celebrate with us by stopping by the Muscatine Art Center on Wednesday, February 26th between 3:00 and 4:30 p.m. to participate in a fairy tale-related craft, and we will read a fairy tale story at 4:00 p.m. Free, no registration required.

Camp Genesis
Camp Genesis is a specialty residential (sleep-away) camp experience for children & teens (entering grades 4-9) affected by cancer in their family. A collaborative camp partnership with Gilda’s Club Quad Cities, Camp Shalom and Genesis Cancer Care Institute. Camp will run June 21- 26, 2020.
Prescription Drug Drop off Boxes
Grade/Age: Parents of all students K-12th; Date: December 2019-ongoing
Description: According to the Muscatine County Health Needs Assessment over 44% of adults in our county report being negatively impacted by substance misuse (excessive alcohol and illicit drugs). One thing we can all do is participate in safe and proper disposal of prescription drugs. Attached is a Prescription Drug Drop Box flyer highlighting Muscatine County drop box locations and a list of what is not accepted.

We want to make sure every child in the community has a chance to have a Halloween costume. We will be having a free costume drive in October of 2020. But first we need to collect your old costumes/accessories.
