Message from the Principal
Parents and Families of Killeen Elementary School,
The cooler temperatures are a sign that fall is finally here in Texas! It is so awesome seeing kiddos at recess enjoying playing with the breezes blowing and the leaves falling! Please remind your student to keep up with their jackets each day! Since the mornings are cool and the afternoons warmer, they take their jackets off and leave them. Please be sure to label the jackets so we can return them to their rightful owner if we find them. It also means that Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and there is much to be thankful for at Killeen Elementary School.
Now that we are entering our 12th week of school, teachers and staff have been working hard to handle the academic needs and behavioral needs of our students. Students have begun to settle into a routine with their classmates and the large school environment, and for that, we are VERY proud. It would really help us if you would make sure your student(s) have a quiet place to read each evening by them reading to an adult or reading to themselves for ten to thirty minutes.
