This is a reminder that the 2023-24 Illinois Supplemental Parent Survey opened on Jan. 30, 2024. The survey window will close on March 29, 2024, so please plan survey administration accordingly.

Evergreen Elementary School will be hosting a holiday-themed party in their classrooms on Wednesday,February 14th from 1:00-1:45 PM The focus will be on Valentine’s Day.. The PTA will be providing snacks for our parties; please do not send additional snacks, treats, or candy bags with your students on this day.

We recognize that not all families celebrate or participate in all the holidays. For families not wanting to participate in this holiday-themed party for any reason, we have planned an alternative art-themed party in the art room with Mrs. Orr. Any student who would rather not participate in the holiday activities can attend the art-themed party with Mrs. Orr.

If you would prefer your child to not participate in the classroom holiday-themed parties, please let Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Agres, or your child's teacher know by Monday.

We are excited to share the information regarding the fall 2024-25 Kindergarten registration process!

We are hosting an incoming Kindergarten pre-registration event on Tuesday, March 5th at Evergreen Elementary School from 4:00-6:00 PM. During this event, families can meet staff members, sign up for a mandatory Kindergarten screening for their child, submit copies of proof of residency requirements, and receive informational materials. The event is for parents and incoming Kindergarten students only; siblings should not attend. Please see the Kindergarten Pre-Registration Event Flyer. If you are unable to attend the pre-registration event, please call the school at (630) 876-7810 after March 5th to schedule a screening.

For detailed information regarding Kindergarten 2024-25, please visit our Kindergarten 2024-25 webpage. Be sure to complete the Kindergarten Interest Form so we can send emails with important updates. The first window to pre-register your incoming Kindergarten student will be open from Friday, March 1st, 2024 through Tuesday, March 5th, 2024. Please do not preregister your child before March 1st as the next school year selection and online enrollment forms will not be available until then. On Tuesday, we celebrated the 100th day of school! Students in various grade levels had activities focused on the number 100 and reflecting on all of the learning that has taken place thus far this year. We had a great day celebrating!

Please make sure your child is bringing their device back to school every day fully charged!

Please remember to contact Mrs. Smith if you are in need of any financial or material assistance. This includes field trip payments, ice cream treat day, pizza lunch, school materials and materials for at home projects.

The PTA has coordinated new Evergreen spirit wear for purchase. Orders can be shipped home or be picked up at the SBI location.

If you are visiting Evergreen for a meeting or volunteering, you will need to provide your driver's license every time you are coming in. We have a new security system that provides an additional layer of security for adults that are coming into the building. Thank you very much!!

If your child is going to be absent from school for any reason, please call the Evergreen Office, 630-876-7810, to report your child's absence no later than 8:00 AM the day of the absence. Please only email your child's classroom teacher about an absence after you have called the office. You can leave a message about an absence on the attendance line at anytime.
