Staying Well through the Holidays: An emotional health workshop for teens – Saturday Dec 3, 10 and 17
Teenagers already struggling with heavy emotions may not be looking forward to the holidays. But this Saturday workshop series from the Stay Well program shows teens how to cope with holiday stress in healthy ways. Coping with Grief and Loss through the holidays – Mondays (Dec 5 and 12) and Wednesdays (Dec 7 and 14)
The holiday season can deepen feelings of grief and loss. In this Stay Well workshop series, clinical mental health counselor Zeinab Moussa discusses emotions experienced by those who are grieving, and engages participants in drawing, writing, mental exercises, and relaxation techniques to help them cope.

Varsity Bowling
On December 7, 2022, the Dryden Boys Varsity Bowling team faced Capac at Hideaway Lanes. They came out on the losing end of the match, 24-6. Matthew Hickmott had a Baker score of 163, followed by Tyler Biggs with 140 and Connor Wolff with 136.
Varsity Girls Basketball

On Tuesday, November 29th, Varsity Girls Basketball played at Marlette. Dryden got 26 points and Marlette ended with a total of 43. Jessica Peters scored 13 points. Lucia Rodriguez had 6, Olivia Stickler 4, and Sophia Peter 3.
At home, Dryden won against Capac on Thursday, December 1st. Dryden got a total of 67 points and Capac had 18. Keira Miller got 19 of those points. Jessica Peters had 15 and Lucia Rodriguez put up 8. Olivia Stickler scored 7, followed by Rilynn Lindsay with 6. Sophia Peter and Ava DeVlaminck had 4 each, and Delaney Wolle and Isabella Weier got 2 each.
Varsity Boys Basketball
On Tuesday, December 6th, the Varsity Boys basketball team played at home in a non-league game against Brown City. Brown City garnished 47 points, and Dryden earned 41 points during Dryden’s unfortunate loss. Senior Dylan Ledford led the team scoring a total of 16 points, succeeded by junior Jacob Burgess who scored 14 points, sophomore Sonny Coscione scoring nine points, and junior Josh Harris scoring two points. Coach John DelCampo stated, “We had our chances but did not play well the last part of the game”.
On Friday, December 9th, the Varsity Boys Basketball team played at Almont High School in a non-league game. Almont scored a total of 58 points, with Dryden scoring a total of 55 points in the close match. Jacob Burgess led the team scoring a total of 22 points. Dylan Ledford followed him with 12 points. Next Noah Slagle scored nine points; Sonny Coscione scored six points; Jaylin Taylor scored four points, and Josh Harris scored two points. Coach John DelCampo stated, "That's a tough loss. The kids really played hard and deserved better".
Junior Varsity Boys Basketball
Tuesday, December 6 was the JV boys basketball team's first game. They lost to Brown City, 32-55. The leading scorers were David Insley with 11 points and Nick Abromatis with 9 points. You'll get them next time, boys!

Rilynn Lindsay
Rilynn Lindsay is a senior at Dryden High School. She plays volleyball, basketball, and softball. She says that her favorite thing about Dryden is “How small it is.'' Outside of school, she shows horses and cows. She also loves to spend time with her family and friends. When she graduates her plans are to go to Adrian College and ride on the equestrian team. Rilynn's dream job is to become a Personal Financial Advisor. Happy graduation, Rilynn!
