Keep an eye out in the mail for your Quarter 3 Progress Reports starting this Thursday, February 11th.
Happy Black History Month! We will celebrate on Feb. 26th during the Scholar Recognition Assembly. There will also be a Flipgrid coming to you through your Advisory class.
Thanks to the 8th grade History classes for welcoming our team this month to share about college info, goal setting, and career exploration.
At-Promise Scholar meetings are happening during PE Classes this month. We would love to give out Most Improved Awards to all scholars who improve their grades to a 2.0+ GPA in the next 5 weeks! Increasing your grades is just like getting a high score. You can do it and we believe in you!
Congrats to everyone who participated in the Among Us Tournament with Ms. Mincey and our awesome teacher volunteers and to our MLK Among Us Champion, Josiah Culler.

Reminder: Parent Teacher Conferences are coming to MLK at the end of February.
Take a brain break! The Virtual Calming Room is FULL of awesome ways to relax. Ms. Bean is going to check out one of the 15 minute movement activities this week. What are you going to try out?

The January & February Advisory Scholar Awards and the Counselor vs. Admin Rap Battle are coming in hot to an assembly near you, on Friday February 26th! Mark your calendars.
Pittsburg High School's 8th Grade Virtual Open House is on Tuesday February 23 from 5:30-7:30pm. This is a time to meet teachers and current students and to learn about the academic and extracurricular activities PHS has to offer!
It's not too late to join a club! There's so many fun options, including Photography and Food clubs. Check with your advisory teacher for the list and links!
School's out for President's Day Weekend on Friday, February 12 and Monday, February 15.
Bust out your best moves with kids from all over Pittsburg with Pittsburg's Project Success on Mondays from 3-4pm. Get moving and have fun while learning hip hop, lyrical, salsa, merengue, bachata, and jazz! Let your counselor know if you're interested and we'll share the zoom link.
