St Joseph's Catholic Primary School
Weekly Newsletter 2.2.24
This week...
We have had another fun-filled week in school!
I've really enjoyed seeing our St Francis children (preschool and reception) outdoors, exploring, playing, and getting mucky, regardless of the British weather!
Beyond the classroom, our St Therese children (Year 5/6) have now taken on roles of playleaders at break times. This encourages play to take a more structured form and gives our eldest children positions of responsibility. They are rising to the challenge! Head over to Twitter/Facebook (links below) to see some of the parachute games from today!
Thank you, as always, for supporting us to
Live, love and learn with the Lord.
Mrs Ronicle
Street Dance Club!
Our children are thoroughly enjoying the Street Dance club on Monday evenings!
The great news is that this club will continue until Easter, and we do have a couple of free spaces now. If you would like to book a place for your child, please let the office know ASAP.
Sound System!
This week in Celebration Assembly, we were able to use our brand new microphone to share our learning! Several of our families and friends mentioned how brilliant it was to hear every word being shared by our children.
A HUGE thank you to Friends of St Joseph's, who have worked so hard to raise money to contribute to our super new sound system!
Year 4 Multiplication Check Info Evening

PE Kits
Due to the changes in our class structure, the children may need PE kits on a different day. KS2 (St Therese and St Patrick) remain the same.
St Bernadette (Year One and Year Two) need to bring PE kit on Friday
Reception need to bring PE kit on Thursday
Preschool need to come into school wearing suitable clothing (jogging bottoms and a hoody) on Thursday
Thank you for your support in this!

As mentioned in last weeks newsletter, there is a range of pre-loved school uniforms available. Please do let school know if you require any items and Friends of St Joseph's will try source these for you! This is also then a shout-out reminder that any outgrown uniforms can be donated to the school office! Any outgrown coats, shoes, bags and trainers will also be welcomed.
With the money raised from the Christmas Fayre we are delighted to be in a position to part fund the new sound system that has been fitted in the school hall. What a great effort and so good that the money can be used on something that will benefit the whole school. 👏👏
