Holy Cross Catholic School

It was so great welcoming our parents and families into our building this week for Back to School Night. During my presentation, we reviewed a few items of importance.

1. Holy Cross is built on three pillars: Faith, Diversity and Academic Excellence. Our mission is to work in partnership with the church, school and families to provide the best spiritual and academic education for God's children. We are blessed to be in a partnership with you this year.

2. Handbook Updates: If cell phones are brought to school, they will be kept in the classrooms and SMARTwatches are no longer allowed. They are a distraction to the learning environment. If they are worn, they will be brought to the office for the parents to pick up at the end of the day.

3.We are excited to announce the implementation of our new security system, Centegix, key card system. The informative video is attached below. As the Blue Valley Director of Safety and Security, Dan Carney, explained to us last year, it is important to put in place layers of security. Please remember the number one line of defense is our undercover security guards, which is our entire community. This will be installed this year and we are grateful to all that donated to our Fund A Need during Celebration to make this possible. Each year a portion of our Fund A Need will go towards the yearly upkeep of this system.

4. Speaking of Celebration, we are in major need of more volunteers. This is our biggest fundraiser and we need your help as we bring it back to school this year. We would be unable to make these important updates to our building without a successful fundraiser. Please email if you can spare even an hour or two each week or month to help us.

5. Please review our Holy Cross Annual Report. It is full of exciting news and progress we made last year and explains why we were awarded the Archbishop Naumann Catholic Education School of Excellence Award. We are so proud of our amazing school!

Casa Grande will donate 10% of all sales to Holy Cross (carry-out and dine in)
