What is a pomegranate?
This fruit is classified as a berry. This fruit is distinguishable by its hard outer skin and unusual interior flesh. The outer skin is inedible but the seeds are edible and they taste sweet and juicy. The color is usually a reddish rind but the color can vary from yellow to brown to red.
How can I cook it?
- Fresh pomegranate chutney
- Fruit salad with the seeds
- Roasting pork and spreading pomegranate molasses on it.
Nutrients
No cholestoral or saturated fats. But is higher in carbs than other fruits.Notable amounts of Vitamin C.
