About Jupiter:
Jupiter is the 5th planet away from the sun, about 483,800,000 miles away. It takes about 11.9 of Earth dyears to make an orbit around the sun. Jupiter has swirling cloud stripes on it that are puncuated by massive storms such as the Great Red Spot, which raged for hundreds of years. Jupiter is the solar systems largest planet. Jupiterhas an atmosphere like the suns, mostly made of hydrogen and helium. The tempature of Jupiter is about 234 degrees ferenhiet. The gravity comparison is if you were 100lbs on Earth, you would be 253lbs on Jupiter. Jupiter has a thick atmosphere. If someone were to live on Jupiter, they would definetly need a space suit because you would freeze in the atmosphere, you would choke, and you would be squashed by the gravity. Also because it is a gas planet there is no solid surface.Storms on Jupityer can last for hundreds of years like the Great Red Spot. Spacecrafts such as Juno has visited Jupiter and Juno was studying how jupiter formed and became the dianamic world we see today. Juno was launched in 2011.Jupioter was named Zeus by the Greeks and Jupiter by the romans. It has 63 moons including temporary moons. The 4 largest moons are Callisto, Ganymede, Europa, and Lo.
Lo
Lo is the most activly volcanically active body in our solar system.
Ganymede
Ganymede is the largest planetary moon. It is also the only moon known in the solar system to have its own magnetic field.
Europa and Callisto
They are both known to have a ocean lieing underneath their crusts. Europa's is liquid, and Callisto's is frozen.
