A Note From Mrs. Bowden....
I hope you enjoyed the much needed rain the last few days. We just completed week 2 of the 2nd nine weeks. I have been able to see first-hand all the wonderful activities, lessons and projects that students have completed in class during classroom visits. It was amazing to celebrate those achievements and hard work at the awards ceremony. You should be very proud of your students. I am excited to be in all classes throughout the year and to learn how to better support our students.
Thank you for partnering with us.

Boosterthon (Grades 5th - 8th)
We are in the final days of our Boosterthon Color Run. There are emails going home about registering, evening challenges and a weekend challenge. The Color Run will be November 1st. This year students will need to collect $20.00 in pledges to run in the Color Run.
The biggest question is what is the color made of...corn starch and food coloring. Students will run during MOD 7 & MOD 8. They will not be able to re-enter the building. Please bring a towel for your car.
Students are most excited to see whether Mrs. Bowden will be a human sundae (the winning class of most money raised will be able to make Mrs. Bowden into a human sundae IF we reach $ 20,000 in pledge donations.)
Right now, we are close to getting to Silly String Mrs. Bowden, Coach Blankenship and Mrs. Delsol. This will happen when we get to $10,000 in pledge donations.
Good Luck! This is our school's biggest fundraiser and we LOVE to have fun with this FUNdraiser.
Boosterthon Weekend Challenge!
This weekend there is a challenge for Boosterthon. The advisory class that brings in the most donations over the weekend will receive a pizza party on Monday!
Just a reminder that students that in order to participate in the color run students must have a minimum of $20 in donations.
Halloween Dress
On Tuesday, October 31st we will have a Halloween Dress Up to raise money for the E-Sports teams. The attached expectations will be followed, if not students will call home for a change of clothes.
The cost to participate is $1.00 that will be paid to Mr. Dubose.
Veteran's Day Program
Dear Veterans and Families,
We are delighted to announce that Leadership Prep School will be hosting its annual Veteran's Day Celebration on Thursday, November 9, 2023, during our 7th and 8th MODS, which will take place from 2:26 PM to 4:30 PM in the LPS Gymnasium. This event promises to be a remarkable occasion filled with art, theatre, and musical performances, showcasing the exceptional talents of our students in honor of our veterans.
We are honored to extend our warm invitation to the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) chapter in Frisco, as well as a distinguished Armed Services Color Guard, who will hopefully be joining us for this special occasion. Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that our guest speaker for the event will be Mr. John Keating, the Mayor Pro Tem of Frisco.
We earnestly hope that you can join us for this significant event. If you, or a member of your family, have served in the United States Armed Services, we cordially invite you to attend and be recognized for your invaluable service and dedication to our nation. This celebration is open to all Veterans and their families, and we wholeheartedly encourage your participation.
Veterans Day holds profound significance for all of us, as it provides an opportunity to express our gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women. Your presence at this event would greatly enhance the spirit of this occasion.
We look forward to celebrating Veteran's Day with you on November 9, 2023, as we come together to honor and pay tribute to our nation's heroes.
Sincerely,
Dr. Michael Stone

Helper Helper
- Remember, the deadline for entering service hours into Helper Helper is two weeks after the service was provided. For example, if your student provided service on October 27th, then the last day to enter it into Helper Helper to receive possible validation is November 10th.
- Be sure to take a picture of your student at their event in case it is needed for verification.
- Double-check that your student is using a coordinator who is associated with the organization for which they provided service. The easiest way to show this is by the coordinator’s email having a domain that matches the organization’s name.
- Looking for the 2023-2024 guidelines? They can be found on pages 87-90 in the Parent-Student Handbook.
