LETTER FROM YOUR PRINCIPAL
Have a great February Break
Hello Bobcat Families,
Yesterday I flew down to Anaheim with two teachers to represent Santa Rita and receive our award for being one of California's Distinguished Schools. It has been a whirlwind of a week but I am so proud to be a part of such a wonderful school and community. Thank you for all you do to make Santa Rita wonderful.
Covid Tests
With the February break coming up next week, it is important for everyone to take a COVID test BEFORE returning to school on Monday, Feb 27, 2023. We are providing each student with a COVID test kit to bring home this week, prior to the upcoming break. Please check with your child for the test kit and get your child tested prior to returning to school on Monday, February 27, 2023.
Opt in for Text Messages in Case of an Emergency
In the event of a major earthquake we can assume that electricity and wifi may go down. Therefore, we will use our SMS system to communicate with the community. Essentially a text messaging system that goes directly to your cell phone, SMS requires parents to opt into it to receive texts from the school. We also use the SMS system to send occasional reminders (like on minimum-day dismissals).
You can participate in this free service (standard message and data rates may apply) just by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to our school’s short code number, 67587. You can also opt out of these messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop”.
I hope everyone has a very safe and relaxing February Break!
