Equity and Anti-Racism Task Force
Newsletter
June 23, 2021 ~ Hyde-Addison ES
Help Guide Us Next Year
This is the final newsletter of the school year from the Equity and Antiracism Task Force. The Task Force met monthly and included parents, teachers and administrators who undertook a variety of activities to encourage conversations about and embed equity and anti-racist practices across the school community. 2020 was an especially heartbreaking year for so many Americans and our work helps Hyde-Addison continue to grow as a community that is stronger, safer and more inclusive.
Activities included:
- monthly newsletter and curated book recommendations
- parent-led reading/discussion groups, and
- guest speakers alongside the PTA meetings
- book lists, videos, and read-aloud recommendations for children
We hope many of you found these resources valuable and we encourage your ongoing participation! We need your help to guide us next year. What do you want to see more of, less of, or done differently?
