Hall of Fame Induction Night Dec 22nd

Union City Athletic Director Mike Thornburg is pleased to announce that there will be six new members inducted into the Union City Athletic Hall of Fame. The event will take place Friday, December 22nd. Present members will also be honored at this ceremony.

Hall of Fame induction is scheduled to be held at halftime of the Boys Varsity Basketball game. The UC Indians will be playing the newest TEC member the Panthers of Knightstown. The junior varsity game is scheduled to tip off at 6:00 PM. Please help us welcome our newest Hall of Fame members.

Union City Girls 8th Grade Tourney Champs

On December 16th Union City Junior High girls traveled to Randolph Southern for the Randolph Southern invitational tournament. The seventh grade came in second place in the tourney. They won over Daleville 27 to 12 & were led in scoring by Payton Dye with 9, Emily Evans with 8 and Melia Dean with 4. They lost in the championship game 25 to 8 to Morristown, led in scoring by Malea Dean with six and Payton Dye with two. The eighth grade girls came home with a championship with a first round win over Daleville. With a score of 39 to 19, led in scoring by Mariah Claywell with 21 and Katie Elliott with 8. Carly Rismiller and Emily Livingston added five rebounds a piece. In the championship game, Union City girls defeated Morris town by score of 40 to 23. They were led in scoring by Mariah Claywell with 11, Katie Elliott with 10 Emily Livingston with 9. Mariah Claywell had 11 steals, Emily Livingston had 14 rebounds. Andrea Sanders had a solid effort of seven points and eight rebounds. Congratulations girls job well done.

Varsity Boys Basketball at Hoosier Gym

Varsity boys basketball traveled to Knightstown this past Thursday night to practice at the historic Hoosier Gym. Players and coaches practiced two hours and also was given a tour of the Hoosier gym and was showed first hand how the movie Hoosiers was filmed. The boys basketball team will play at Hoosier Gym on December 29th and 30th in the Wheeler North/South Classic. Get your tickets now.

Athletic Booster Club Meeting Friday 1/12/18

The next Union City Athletic Booster Club meeting is scheduled for Friday 1/12/18. We will meet at 5:00 PM in the High School Library.


If you have a athlete in your family come and be part of their booster club. The Booster Club is in place to help the athletic department make your child's athletic career the best it can be. ALL ARE WELCOME AND NEEDED!!!!

Girls Basketball Holiday Tourney

December 29th and December 30th we will be holding our 4th Annual varsity girls basketball Holiday Tourney. There will be 12 games over the two days with eight schools participating. Schools that will be playing are Adams Central, Blue River, Cowan, North Decatur, Liberty Christian, Mooristown, Wes-Del and Union City. Each day the games will begin at 10:00 AM and a game will be played every two hours. All games will be played in the Main Gym. Schedule for the tourney can be found here. Plan on coming out and supporting our Lady Indians as our girls go for a three peat Championships.

Boys Basketball Holiday Tourney Hoosier Gym Tickets For Sale

Boys varsity basketball team will be playing in the Wheeler North/South Classic at Hoosier Gym in Knightstown IN. Tourney will be held on December 29th and December 30th. Schedule can be found here. Tickets are $15.00 each and that will get you in to all three games the boys will be playing. Tickets are available at the High School office and will be made available at all home games this week and next. Single game tickets can only be bought at the door and they will be $5.00. Seating at the Hoosier Gym is limited so if a sell out occurs for any of the games they will only admit pre-sale ticket holders only. After each game, the crowd will clear the gym and fans for the next game will be allowed to enter. People who would like to see other teams play will have to wait and see if each game is a sellout. If there are seats available, fans will have to pay to attend. If the game is a sell-out, no additional tickets will be sold.

Varsity Basketball County Tourney Pre-sale Tickets Hosted by Union (Modoc)

Varsity County Basketball Tourney tickets are for sale at this time. You can purchase your tickets at any home games at the ticket table or at the High School office during the week. All Session tickets are $10.00 which gets you into the tourney all four nights. These All Session tickets are only available Pre-sale. Ticket price at the gate each night will be $6.00. Our Girls will play Wednesday night Jan 3rd at 7:30 PM. Our boys will play Thursday night Jan 4th at 7:30 PM and the tourney will be played at Union (Modoc) this year.
