Class list making for the next school is an exciting time…it also requires a lot of hard work. When preparing classroom placements for next year, our staff carefully considers many factors. This procedure is used so that classrooms of the same grade are heterogeneous and balanced academically and socially. As we begin to construct class lists for next year, the elementary staff appreciates any input you can provide us regarding your student's learning needs. Please note that in order to make balanced class lists, we cannot accept teacher requests nor assume your family will have the same teacher you may have worked with previously. THIS letter was sent to all 3rd & 4th grade parents with important information about our upcoming Forward Testing schedule. Please review and call the office if you have any questions.

From Monday, April 4th through Friday, April 22nd, all specials and lunch schedules have been altered to accommodate an uninterrupted morning testing window.

The new lunch schedules are as follows:

Kindergarten → 11:00 - 11:30

1st Grade → 12:00 - 12:30

2nd Grade → 11:45 - 12:15

3rd Grade → 12:45 - 1:15

4th Grade → 12:30 - 1:00

We are pleased to announce that Muskego-Norway School District is offering a variety of summer school and sports academy options for our elementary and middle level students this summer!

New enrichment offerings this year include the following: Yard Games, Warriors Cubing Club, Sculpting, and Tune Time.

• It is important to contact your child's teacher as well as the office with any upcoming absences such as vacation or appointments. Please call the attendance line at 262-971-1830 #2, or email kimberly.reichart@muskegonorway.org.
• Every class has weekly lessons on life skills. Second Step is the curriculum that is used which focuses on building social skills such as how to be a good friend and how to handle conflict. It also works on school skills such as following direction, listening and asking for help.

Yes, it’s that time of year again where we love to show our Mill Valley Staff how much we appreciate their hard work with our students all year long.

We have fun events planned for the week of May 2nd to May 6th to surprise our staff each and every day.

If you are interested in providing a donation, we would be able to celebrate our staff in a BIG way. Please send in a monetary donation via check or cash with your child (please specify: Staff Appreciation Week).

We need your help to raise money to replenish our school’s sporting equipment during recess time. With MV having close to 500 students, our equipment is used every day & quite often needs to be replaced. So with the help of our MV families we hope to supply Mill Valley with two new soccer nets, footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, jump ropes and chalk.

Please keep an eye out for the Pop’s Popcorn order form being sent home with your child on Monday, March 28th.

Meet us for our monthly PTO meeting at Soiree on April 13th at 6:00pm. We will be voting for the PTO Treasurer position.
