MESSAGE FROM MR. MCCORMICK
When I accepted the position of superintendent at Blue River Valley Schools in 2021, our board members, our administrative team, our directors, our district leadership teams, our district staff, and myself set out to work on long-range strategic plans in various areas across the district. This includes operations, facilities, curriculum, and culture to name a few.
Please find below several graphic visuals which demonstrate the good work that our various planning teams have been working diligently on over the past year and a half. We have some great things happening at Blue River Valley Schools!

BRV BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS OF AMERICA STUDENTS BRING HOME TOP HONORS FROM NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
After garnering many state awards and accolades, the Blue River Valley Business Professionals of America (BPA) students recently traveled to Anaheim, California for the BPA National Leadership Conference (NLC). The Vikings competed well and returned home to Henry County with several national awards.
TOP IN THE COUNTRY -- The biggest surprise and honor came when BRV senior, Ms. Jasmeen Kaur, was selected from over 42,000 candidates and named THE Secondary Student of the Year for Business Professionals of America (BPA) for the United States of America! This award comes with a $1,000 scholarship. Ms. Kaur was also awarded the Alumni Division Scholarship. Finishing her year of service as the Indiana State BPA President, Ms. Kaur, carried the Indiana flag for the Parade of States at the opening session in Anaheim. Ms. Kaur is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Balvir and Beant Singh-Kaur.
Additionally, the Blue River Valley Jr Sr High School Secondary Chapter was awarded the Chapter Activities Award of Excellence. There were only five other chapters in the country that received this award. Both the secondary and the middle level chapters were recognized as Quality Chapters of Distinction. The secondary chapter received the BPA Cares Award of Achievement for Community Service. The secondary chapter also received certificates of achievement for BPA Marketing & Public Relations and Safety Awareness. Leah Foster, Jasmeen Kaur, and Alivia Koontz were recognized as Ambassador Torch Award recipients.
