CELEBRATING A CULTURE OF COLLABORATION AND INNOVATION
ECFS'S PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY
On February 17, members of the ECFS community will share their expertise as innovators in teaching and learning at ECFS's Professional Development Day, Inside Our Classrooms: Celebrating a Culture of Collaboration and Innovation. Faculty will be leading workshops designed to offer their insights into experiential learning, interdisciplinary innovation, and 21st century progressive education. DON BUCKLEY: KEYNOTE SPEAKER
JOANIE BANKS-HUNT: GUEST SPEAKER
Joanie Banks-Hunt, who will be working with students, faculty, and administration as our guest for the week, is currently sophomore dean and a member of the applied science and engineering faculty at Menlo School, where ​she is known for pioneering engineering and technology education for high school and middle school students. She has developed innovative hands-on project-based electives, STEM initiatives, academic support, student leadership, student government, and numerous committees to support and promote the mission, values, and goals of Menlo School. Her vision, collaboration and academic passion led to the construction of Menlo's Whitaker Lab of Applied Science and Engineering.
Joanie previously worked in high tech as an electrical engineer with expertise in hardware networking design, technical marketing, and sales support at Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems, Convergent Technologies, and Hewlett-Packard.
