Board of Education Election

BV Schools Board of Education will have five positions open in the November election. Candidates have filed for each of the positions. Candidate information is available on the district website.

BV PEAKS

BV PEAKS is a group of BV Schools citizens who are Partners Engaged Around Kids' Success. The purpose is for the school to give and receive information to this group of interested and invested partners of the district. Are you interested in visiting schools and being part of this group that meets about six times during the year? Contact Lisa Yates at lyates@bvschools.org

Participation Scores and Illness

In consultation with our local medical providers, BV Schools wants to emphasize that not all illness requires a doctor's note. Appointments and notes from doctors should be reserved for illnesses beyond three days and only when medically necessary.

The media and politicians are focusing much attention on public education these days. We celebrate the collective commitment to the education and wellbeing of our youth. It is a worthy dialogue for us all to engage. Unfortunately, not all that is highlighted in the news is the reality of your local schools. We welcome, invite, and encourage our families and community to contribute to the goodness of BV Schools. Our local school board is available to link to the community, the BV PEAKS (Partners Engaged Around Kids’ Success) meets regularly to exchange information about the schools, there are monthly meetings and this Monthly. Each month, we will begin sharing information about topics in public education and provide some perspective on what is happening in your local BV Schools.
