Dear Page Hilltop Families:

Well, it looks like winter is not ready to leave us yet! But that does not mean we are not going to be busy with lots of fun-filled family events and activities for our students and families to enjoy.

In just a couple more weeks our PTO will be hosting the "Lucky-To-Have-You" family event!

Watch this week for more news about many, many more events to be held over the next few months. The PH school community is an amazing place to learn, grow and share exciting experiences! We are glad you are all members of the Page Hilltop community!

On Friday we celebrated our annual Community Reader Day. It was an amazing time for both our students and our special guest readers. We welcomed over 30 guest readers from various positions in the ASRSD as well as Ayer town officials and business leaders. We greatly appreciate the fact that all of our special guests took time away from their professional duties to spend the morning with our students and staff. After reading a storybook to the students, our community readers stayed to take questions from the students and describe how reading literacy will be important in all walks of life.

Mrs. Harris's Class: Students in Mrs. Harris's Preschool class worked with Mrs. Richter in preparation for their upcoming family sing along.

We will be celebrating PI Day on Tuesday, March 14th. Many of our 3rd-4th-5th graders are busily preparing for the PI Day Challenge. Grade levels winners will be announced on March 14th ..... also known as 3/14 ........... also know as 3.14. These winning students will earn a special treat for their entire class! Good luck, everyone!

Our local Girl Scout troop, hosted by the Page Hilltop School, presented some wonderful display projects teaching us about customs from countries around the world. All of the girls did a great job!

Our cafeteria is decorated by the bright colors of flags from many countries around the world. Our students enjoy looking at them every day and identifying with the specific flag of their family's ancestry. Can you identify the country of origin for the four flags below? If so, send your answers to Mr. Deppe (email or written note).

We are pleased to announce that our Kindness T-Shirts, designed by fourth grader Aanya, are ready for sale. T-Shirt order forms will be sent home this week.

We are excited to share that registration for Girls on The Run is now open. Students in grades 3-5 are welcome to register here. See the attached flyer for more details. Financial assistance is available to any student upon registration. The cost of entry will never be a barrier to registering girls in this program.

We eagerly await the return of master storyteller Odds Bodkin. Stories, music & sound effects all in one. Odds will be at Page Hilltop on Thursday, April 27th and will be performing for all students in grades preschool - grade 5. All PH families are then invited to come for an evening performance at 6:30.

Congratulations to Mrs. Richter and our chorus members who performed the nation anthem before the Worcester Railers Ice Hockey game. Thanks to all of our PH families who came to the game and supported our chorus!

Our next Panther Power student leadership meeting will be on Monday, March 13th. All PP members are reminded to wear their t-shirts on that day. If they have not yet returned their activities notices (with parent signatures), they should do so by the 13th. Don't forget your ice cream sundae supplies.

Our Page Hilltop Dance Club will begin on Monday, March 13th and run for six weeks on Monday afternoons (3:15 - 4:15). It is open to all students in grades 1 - 5. There are still openings and you may register on the following link.

The PTO is partnering with Texas Roadhouse in Leominster for Dine to Donate nights March 6-9. Families may choose the night that works best for them and show the attached flyer to their server from 3:00-9:30. The PTO will receive 10% of all food purchases Dine-In or To-Go.

On Saturday, March 25th our Page Hilltop PTO will be sponsoring an awesome fun-filled family event called "Lucky To Have You Night". All PH family members are invited to attend. There will be music for listening pleasure & dancing, active games, quiet games, concessions & family photos available.

NOTE: If you have any middle or high-school-age students in your family, who would like to help run some of the activities, there will be an opportunity for them to do so. They will receive community service hours if needed.
