Three Bremerton School District superintendent finalists named

The Bremerton School District Board of Directors is pleased to announce the three finalists for the new Bremerton School District superintendent.

Dr. Erin Murphy

Dr. Murphy is the Assistant/Associate/Deputy Superintendent for the Bainbridge Island School District. View Dr. Murphy's resume.

Dr. Murphy will be visiting the District on Tuesday, February 28.

Eric Nerison

Mr. Nerison is the Superintendent of the Kalama School District. View Mr. Nerison's resume.

Mr. Nerison will be visiting the District on Wednesday, March 1.

Dr. Crawford is the Interim Senior Director of High School Academics for Portland Public Schools. View Dr. Crawford's resume.

Note: Finalists are in order based on the date of their visit to the District - not their ranking as finalists.

Please join us for our community forums

These three finalists will be visiting the District on February 28, March 1 and March 2 (one finalist per day.) After a full day of touring the district and meeting students and staff, we will host a community forum (in-person and online) each evening from 5-5:45 p.m. to provide an opportunity for everyone to meet and provide feedback on each of the three finalists.

Board Special Meeting: Friday, March 3 at 9 a.m.

The board will meet in a special session March 3 at 9 a.m. to announce the name of the finalist selected to serve as the next superintendent. This meeting will be in-person and online.

The vote at the March 3 meeting will allow the board president to move forward with negotiating a contract with the new superintendent. The board will then approve the contract at the March 16 regular board meeting.
