MAKE A FRIEND MONDAY

Students reach out to others to say hello, introduce themselves and make new friends. Teachers share the Start with Hello video with their students during homeroom.

Tuesday, September 20

MIX IT UP TUESDAY

Students will sit with a new set of future friends during lunchtime. Teachers will assign seats. For older students, there will be conversation starters on the table to assist with “breaking the ice.”

Wednesday, September 21

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE

Students will create a visual representation of peace on an index card. These cards will be connected to form a peace quilt, morphing into a Friday video. Our staff will interview some students about what peace means to them.

Thursday, September 22

THANKFUL THURSDAY

Students and staff shout out to someone they are thankful for by filling out a post-it for our bulletin board in the back of the cafeteria.

Our PTO gifted our staff with a fantastic September treat. Thank you to our volunteers and the families who donated the stash.

We will continue to emphasize the importance of attendance and punctuality this month as we know that being present and student performance are directly related. Please remember that family trips are not excused absences. Many students had a few unexcused absences (travel related) followed by unexpected sick days. The combination leads to chronic absenteeism.

Help your children succeed at school by ensuring they are present, on time, and ready to learn each morning. We'll take care of the rest.

Exception: Families who requested that their children are not included in any school photos or videos.
