The LVMS PTA is preparing a "Memories of LVMS" slide show for the 8th Grade Dance Party. If you would like to share any images of students to be included, please email them to ptalvms.photo@gmail.com. Submissions will only be used and shown at the 8th Grade Dance only and not be distributed or posted elsewhere.

All photo submissions are due by Friday, June 3rd.

It's the annual LVMS Battle of the Books! Get a team of 4 friends together, go to the library and register your team with Mrs. Flynn, begin reading the books on the posted list and get ready to battle your classmates!

For those participating the Track & Field Championships will be held on June 7th (Boys) and June 9th (Girls) at Whippany High School. If you are not participating in the Championship Meet, pease hand in your uniform to Coach Petrucelli or Coach Kays.

The season ending pizza party will take place on Friday, June 3rd after school until 4:15.

The Lady Panthers are the 1 seed in the upcoming County Tournament hosting the semi-final game on Thurs June 2nd at 4pm. Good luck!

The Panther baseball team won its quarterfinal game against Mt. Olive 5 - 0 last week. The boys continue in the Greater Morris County Tournament later in the week. Good Luck!

All current 6th & 7th grade Boys and Girls interested in trying out for the LVMS Soccer teams, in the fall, should attend a brief information session held in Library after morning announcements on Thursday June 9th (players only). Players unable to attend the meeting should see/contact the coaches directly.

The district has moved to following the CDC's 2/22/22 Recommendations. For additional information, please see Dr. Turnamian's 3/4/22 Community Update.

COVID Activity Index Level (CALI): As of 5/21/2022 the district received notification that our region’s CALI score remains High (ORANGE). The district medical professionals and local health department will continue to monitor cases. At this time, there are NO changes to our current school operations.

Contact Tracing: As of 2/28/22 CDC Guidance, the district will not require contact tracing when transmission rates remain low to moderate. The district will monitor current transmission rates with the guidance of our district medical professionals and local Health Department, and not conduct contact tracing unless circumstances change. Please be aware, if community transmission rates begin to rise, the district will consider restoring former mitigation protocols.

Testing Positive for COVID-19: If a student tests positive for COVID-19 he/she still needs to isolate for 5 days and it is recommended he/she wear a mask for days 6-10. Most importantly, if a student is sick (COVID related or not) please keep him/her home from school.

Close Contact / Quarantine: If an individual is identified as a close contact due to out of school activity or family contact and has not had a primary series of vaccination, it is recommended he/she quarantine for 5 days and wear a mask for days 6-10.

Daily District COVID-19 Communications: Effective 2/8/22 the district will no longer send out daily communications of newly reported COVID-19 cases from each school. This information will continued to be tracked and updated daily to the Information Hub on the main page of our district website.
