The Northcote Mural & Street Party
Saturday 9th August 2014 at 2pm
In Aid of Macmillan Cancer Support
From the 12th July – 8 August, local artist Tom Rooth tomrooth.com will be painting a mural of Northcote Road on Northcote Road, SW11. Work on the mural is already underway and can be found opposite Northcote Records/above Bellevue Cleaners (see proposal image).
The local businesses featuring in the mural (who are each generously donating to Macmillan) are: Bellevue Cleaners, Ultraviolet, Northcote Records, Babel, Buona Sera, Huttons, Philglas & Swiggot, Hamish Johnston, Franco Manca, Hennessy’s, and last but not least, Douglas & Gordon.
BE IN THE MURAL!
If you and your family or friends would like to be in the mural, please drop by from the 12th July – it’s £12 for an adult, £10 for a child and £8 for a dog. All proceeds will go to Macmillan. Please note, places are limited and will be on a first come first painted basis.
The Northcote Mural unveiling street party
For the launch of the mural there will be live music courtesy of the legendary Lavender Hillbillies and the brilliant Super Spokes. DJ Goldenchild will be spinning records and doing a set. No need to shop for lunch, as there will be Northcote food stalls providing gourmet delicacies, while Babel and Northcote Records will be serving the finest cocktails, wines and beers known to humanity (ask for a plastic cup and join us in the street).
Please help us to spread the word by posting this on your Facebook and Twitter accounts. SEE ABOVE
Please remember that this event is in aid of Macmillan and they will have representatives at the street party. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. For more information about the fantastic work they do, please click here.
