Scaffolding and PM Assessments*NEW
Any student with an IEP, 504, or EL plan must receive the accommodations listed in their respective document for Performance Matters assessments. Here are some general approaches that CANNOT be used for students without a documented plan:
Printing PM assessments
Copying PM assessment questions onto paper with an answer space for students to complete in advance, then allowing students use that very paper to go into the test and simply enter what's on the paper
Working through problems in the platform with students problem by problem
Copying the PM questions, changing the numbers in the problem, and then using the test clone for review
UPDATED: Parent Overview - Providing Enriched Learning in Elementary Mathematics
The Parent Overview-Providing Enriched Learning in Elementary Mathematics has been updated to include communication about the report card as well as refinement to the explanation for Tier IV. Translations have been requested. Please use the linked PDF for parent conferences and other communications.
Revised Evidence of Learning Assessments in Grades 1 and 2
Several Evidence of Learning Assessments have been revised for the 2022-2023 school year. Revised assessments are as follows:
G1 EOM2 (MP2)
G1 MM4 (MP3)
G1 MM6 (MP4)
G2 MM4 (MP2)
Revised assessments are linked in the grade level assessment overviews.
NEP Reminder
Students who are enrolled for their first marking period in a U.S. school can but are not required to receive the score NEP on their report cards for ELA, Math, Science, and/or Social Studies content areas. Grades should be collected throughout the marking period and the NEP designation should be decided and entered at the end of the marking period.
Committees
Please take a look at the committees all MCEA staff signed up for on this document. There is no specific date/time that committees need to meet. Rather, the committee simply needs to complete their event(s) and meet as often as required to make that happen. Please email Desmond and Ilana the requested dates for your committee's event(s) by December 16th. We would like to have things on the calendar and make sure we don't create conflicts with each other or the PTA's events. For events after the school day, we need to reserve through ICB so other organizations don't rent our school at that time. Please appoint one or two people to "lead" the committee, so admin knows who to communicate with regarding the details.
