Soccer
The boys' soccer team had two games last week. They played Tunkhannock on Monday losing 9 to 3, Ben Allis twice and Joe Staton scored the goals. They played on Tuesday night Towanda losing 3 to 2, and Clayton Frasier had both goals for Northeast. Next week Northeast will play the last two games of the season. Starting Monday, they face NP-Liberty at the last home game of the season at 4:00 PM start. The boys finished the season with a win over Montgomery! Great season gentlemen!!
The Lady Panthers did not have much action last week, having only one game last week. They played Athens on Wednesday, October twelfth losing 2-1, Lizzie Gorsline had the only goal. The girls finished their season on Wednesday with a 3-0 win against Towanda. Kayleigh Thoman netted two goals and Lizzie Gorsline scored the third. Great season girls. Best of luck in Districts!

Adrian Chobot dug the ball 6 times. Both JV and Varsity won in 3 sets against Sayre on Thursday. Thursday was a great day for our varsity hitters. Toni had 10 kills, and both Abby and Emma had 9. Gabby had a great day setting, racking up 25 assists. Alexis Corter had a total of 3 blocks and 3 kills. The libero, Kiara DeLancey had 20 digs and 2 aces. Our second set for JV was quite interesting, as the score went up to 31-29, rather than ending at the usual 25. Kamryn Edsell had an impressive 10 kills, and Abby Chobot had 5 aces. Music
This Friday is a Tech Workday for our musical cast. This will start at 6 p.m. and will come to a close at 8 p.m. Reminder to our cast members, if you have any family free that day who have a hand in building or are artistic, don't be afraid to have them join us Friday night. We are looking for all the help we can get making our props and scenes. We hope to see you there!
7th Grade Presentations
There have been many presentations around the school! Mr. Russell has had some kids present on a plant and an animal. Carly Wheaton, Sophie Bennet, and Clay Wilkes made a presentation on cactuses and cows. They had many interesting facts on Cactuses. They talked about how the waxy skin of the cactus prevents water loss, and it protects itself against predators using its glochids, which harm the animal that eats it. Meredith Roberts, Brianna Pelka, and Gabe Jane created a presentation on the Giant Water Lily and the Echidna. A fun fact about the Giant Echidna is, “the giant leaves are big enough for children to sit in.” The Echidna is an animal that lays eggs and has a pouch, which I didn’t know until I watched the presentation. Keegan Slayer, Nolan Finch, and Khloe Greene did a presentation on the venus fly trap and the grizzly bear. One interesting thing they mentioned was Grizzly bears being able to lower their heart rate and body temperature when they get cold!
