End of year technology wrap up: FAQ
What happens to itslearning courses at the end of this school year?
- Do you have a programmatically created course for a scheduled course? (Example SS0101-Amer Gov-King-2021)
These courses are created because they are scheduled in eSchool and always have a course number at the beginning.
- On June 23, 2021, teacher courses are archived. Students and their work are removed.
- Teachers can access archived courses, and copy/move content, at anytime.
- Visit How to Access Archived Courses for detailed support.
- Do you have a programmatically created course for a non-scheduled course? (Example: MAES-STAHM-KRISTINE-2021)
These courses are created for specific special area teacher needs. Titles are standard: School-Last Name-First Name-Year
- On June 23, 2021, teacher courses are archived. Students and their work are removed.
- Teachers can access archived courses, and copy/move content, at anytime.
- Visit How to Access Archived Courses for detailed support.
How can I prepare to re-use content from this year's course?
Teachers may want to reuse content next year that was created this year. Consider organizing content in Resources to make it easier to find content to be copied into the new school year's instructional course.
Can I work in my courses throughout the summer?
Yes, after the course is archived, teachers may access the course through their archived courses.
When will my courses for 2021-2022 be created?
Teacher courses will be created on August 16, 2021, if the course has been scheduled at the school level in eSchool.
When will next year's students see my course?
Students will receive access to their 2021-2022 instructional courses on August 25, 2021.
Access to Applications found in Clever such as Dreambox, iStation, First in Math??
Students will have access throughout the summer.
Will student passwords change over the summer?
- Elementary student passwords will be reset between Monday, August 23 and Wednesday, August 25.
- Grade 3 usernames will change the week of July 5.
- Secondary student passwords will be set to start expiring during the second week of school.
Will student devices be collected before the end of the school year?
Yes, all student devices will be collected by the last day of school. Virtual student will return their devices to school at a date determined at the school level.
Will my teacher device be collected before the end of the school year?
No, teachers will be able to keep their devices throughout the summer, unless they are moving schools or leaving the system.
I am transferring schools. What happens to my teacher device?
Turn your device in to the school. Devices stay with the building they are assigned.
