PSAT OCTOBER 18th (grades 10 & 11)
On October 18th, CHS will be giving the PSAT to all sophomores, and juniors. This is a chance to practice for the new graduation exam SAT, and juniors are automatically entered into the National Merit Scholarship.
In previous years, we had to give this test on a teacher in-service day and not all grades were required to attend school. However, this year ALL STUDENTS WILL ATTEND school on October 18th. There is a field trip opportunity to tour Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) for ECHS seniors. Permission slips will be available in Student Services Office.

FAFSA INFORMATION - DELAYED UNTIL DECEMBER
The U.S. Department of Education is overhauling the Free Application for Federal Student Aid this year, but the agency plans to roll out the new form in December - two months later than usual. The delay this year is due to the time it takes to roll out changes required by the FAFSA Simplification Act. The new law requires the Department of Education's Office of Federal Student Aid to implement massive changes to the online form and the backend technology that supports it.
We will keep you posted with new information.
DO NOT FILL OUT THE FAFSA UNTIL DECEMBER!
