Transformative Technology Conference

Conference Purpose: To expose teachers to the newest technologies in order to enhance their pedagogical approaches.
Date: Wednesday, June 21, 2023
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Where: Southampton Middle School
For Whom: All Certified Teachers (K-12)
Teachers will be paid at the negotiated rate ($25/hr) for their participation.
Afternoon Session Focus
Purpose: To share the pedagogical affordances of using Canvas in the classroom.
The session will focus on:
- Shifting the thinking of teachers from learning to applying.
- Seeing real experiences of how Canvas has helped shaped other teachers' classrooms through teacher showcases.
- Discussing the affordances of integrating 3rd party tools through Canvas.
Teachers will be given 1.5 hours in the afternoon to apply their learning, collaborate with others, and plan for the upcoming year.
