Hello Wildcat Families,

It is the beginning of November and I want to take this opportunity and say thank you for all your support for your children, their teachers and our school community this school year. November is National Gratitude Month and I want to express my gratitude to you for your support and dedication to your children and our school. I would also like to challenge you to share your gratitude with your child's teacher during this upcoming month. Words Matter and sharing positivity means so much. Here's to a great November!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

• No School November 2nd Teacher Work Day
• Report Cards will be sent digitally on November 3rd.
• No School November 11th Veteran's Day Holiday
• No School Fall Break November 24th - 26th

Health and Safety Reminders:

• Masks are optional in Cabarrus County Schools as of October 26, 2021.
• Children should maintain 3 feet social distancing to the fullest extent possible
• Staff shall socially distance at least 6 feet to the fullest extent possible
• CCS will follow the recommendations outlined in the Department of Health and Human Services StrongSchoolsNC Public Health Toolkit for isolation and quarantines
• Please bring a water bottle, we will not be drinking from the fountains.

Our Wildcats have been doing an amazing job with implementing school wide behavior expectations. They have been taught school wide expectations and these expectations are posted in the classroom and throughout the school. These expectations have been reviewed and retaught through morning meetings. The students have enjoyed earning their LIVE School points and shopping at Whisker's Warehouse. As we move into the second 9 weeks we will be adding an additional requirement to shop at Whisker's Warehouse. In order to shop each month at Whisker's Warehouse your student must not receive any major office referrals during that month. If students receive a major referral their Live School Points will be banked and they can use them the following month. Our goal is to raise student accountability through implementing this change, and we know our WILDCATS are up for the challenge. This will begin on November 3rd for the month of November and then will reset each month after Spirit Day. Students will be reminded of this expectations through Morning Meetings. Also a reminder flyer will go home in their Wednesday folders this week. Thank you in advance for your support with ensure student behavior is a focus both at home and at school.

Panthers host Joy to the Carolinas for local families The Panthers partnered with Coca-Cola Consolidated and Convoy of Hope for "Joy to the Carolinas," a special holiday experience for deserving children and their families at Bank of America Stadium. The program provided toys, new shoes, haircuts, health services, food and more. Atrium Health, Harris Teeter, Second Harvest Food Bank and US Foods each assisted in the community effort.

• Registration will close on November 5.
• The event is December 7 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. It will take each car about 45-minutes to an hour to drive through the event.
