DeSales Robotics Team goes X-STREAM
On Sunday, the Diocese of Buffalo’s hosted its annual X-STREAM games competition at St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute. The X-STREAM Games is an opportunity for Catholic elementary schools within the Diocese of Buffalo to compete against one another to see who can use science, technology, engineering, art, religion and math to the greatest advantage. The DeSales Robotics team, comprised of 13 students in grades 4 through 8, began planning, building and coding their robots in February. This past weekend’s competition required the students to build robots that could complete specific tasks earning the teams’ points for each completed challenge. Out of 24 competing teams, the DeSales Knights earned 1st, 2nd and 3rd place honors and received the Vex IQ Excellence award. The Excellence award is given to the team who demonstrates overall excellence in all components of the VEX IQ Challenge. It is the most prestigious award in a VEX IQ competition. This year’s Robotics team was coached by volunteers, Mrs. Carolyn Manning and Mrs. Jennifer Farmer. Way to go Knights!

FACTS - Tuition Payment System at DeSales
We have partnered with FACTS Management Company to help us manage our tuition payment program beginning with the 2023-2024 school-year. FACTS is used by many schools locally and over 7,000 schools nationally. We are excited to be working with them and are confident this program will offer greater efficiency while providing convenience to families.
You will realize these benefits by using FACTS for your tuition payment plan:
1. Payment Dates: You may choose either the 10th or 20th of each month as your payment date. Automatic payments can be made from a checking or savings account or from a variety of credit cards.
2. Convenience & Security: Along with multiple payment plan options, your payments are processed securely through a bank to bank transaction.
3. Consumer Account: You may check your personal account or make payments online from the convenience of your home or office anytime.
As always, we will continue to work with families should special circumstances or hardship cases arise during the school year.
More information will be coming out shortly on how to set up your 2023-2024 Tuition Account.

Kindercamp at Niagara University
Kindercamp is an academically based summer camp designed specifically for young children entering kindergarten in September and includes developmentally appropriate learning experiences and activities that build upon and strengthen skills necessary for kindergarten. The themes and activities of Kindercamp are planned and taught by certified preschool and kindergarten teachers from the surrounding school districts.
A kindergarten readiness family workshop is held on the last day of camp. Parents have the opportunity to hear about how they can support their children’s transition into kindergarten at home and information about kindergarten registration and procedures.
