Are you ready to return to in-person teaching and learning?
Module 6: Engagement Strategies for Digital Teaching and Learning is now available in itslearning. The module includes three principles of engagement for digital, distance, and hybrid learning environments: Building Relationships, Affordances of Instructional Tools, and Lesson Structure. Each principle and strategy align to the HCPS Digital Teaching and Learning Standards and Essential Skills document. You will have the opportunity to explore short HCPS teacher made videos that highlight innovative digital teaching and learning strategies and readymade resources. Module 6 will continue to expand as we add more best practices around digital, distance, and hybrid teaching and learning, so be sure to check back often!

Breakout Room Management
Teams Updates - Enable and Disable Chat
Meeting organizers now have the option to enable and disable the chat during a meeting. The meeting organizer can disable or enable chat prior to the meeting, and can change chat options during a meeting. By default, chat continues to be disabled for students when the meeting organizer ends the meeting.
Teams Webinars
Are you an administrative assistant and want to enhance your knowledge of Teams meetings? Are you interested in learning how to plan and host Teams meetings, and how to use Breakout Rooms?
Join us to gain an understanding of scheduling Teams meetings, the various settings available, and meeting options. Discover your role as a host and as a participant. Explore Breakout Rooms.
Choose to attend one of eight webinar session choices held over four Fridays. Each 90-minute session will be limited to 30 participants and will cover the same content. Employees may choose to participate in the 8:30 a.m. or the 1:30 p.m. session.

Hybrid Learning Strategies Webinars
Various sessions with an elementary and secondary focus on hybrid learning strategies will be offered to teachers throughout the mornings of February 19, February 26, March 5, and March 12. Sessions will support educators as they prepare for learning and teaching in a hybrid environment. These sessions will incorporate strategies that highlight collaboration, communication, assessment, and engagement. Additional details and registration will be available in HECTOR on February 16.
