Week of Nov. 13th
Message from Principal Drew...
We have 19 school days before final exams. Students this means you have a very limited time to complete your work and improve your grades heading into final exams. As a reminder, the exam exemption policy is still in effect. In order to be exempt a student must meet the following criteria: Overall average of a 90 or above and 5 or less unexcused absences or overall average of an 80 or better and 3 or less unexcused absences in a class. Any student who has served a full day of ISS or OSS is not eligible to exempt their final exams. CTE, Biology, Math 1, Math 3 and English 2 classes cannot be exempted.
The final day of boys basketball tryouts will be on Monday from 4:45 to 7:00 in the gym at PCHS. Students must have a physical and all rank one paperwork on file in order to tryout.
Winter guard tryouts will be this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 in the band room at PCHS.
Congratulations to our football team on an excellent season and a tremendous effort this past week in the 2nd round of the NCHSAA playoffs.

BreakOuts were Rocking this week in the Media Center
Coach Thach's students learned about simple and complex carbs, different fats and why your body needs them. We all learned something about the foods we eat and how they affect our body!
Mrs. Jackson's students were amazing applying the knowledge they learned in class about the Renaissance period and collaborating together to reinforce the soft skills we know they need to reflect the Portrait of a Graduate!
How can I help you bring one of these Breakouts to your students? (contact Mrs. Heath)
