Principal's Message

Sunny Heights Families,

Sunday is Super Bowl LIV! We have the opportunity to cheer for one of our own, Sheldon Day. Sheldon is a Warren alumni. He attended Eastridge Elementary, Creston Middle School, and is a 2012 graduate of Warren Central High School. Sheldon received his degree from the University of Notre Dame in 2016, then went on to the NFL. He currently plays for the Super Bowl contenders, the San Francisco 49ers! Sheldon gives back to Warren each year by visiting our schools, students, and hosting youth camps.

Sheldon Day is a very public example of success here in Warren Township, but not the only one! We have reason to celebrate many of our students, staff, and families on a daily basis for great things that are happening in athletics, academics, and in the community. When you are cheering for Sheldon Day this Sunday, you can also be cheering for ALL the great contributions made by the Pride of the Eastside.....Warren Township!

PENNIES FOR PATIENTS FUNDRAISER

Join the Hero Squad! Together We Change Cancer. Our Pennies for Patients fundraiser is underway. Classrooms have been busy collecting money. This program raises money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to help fight childhood cancer. Through participation in the Student Series' Pennies for Patients Program, students learn leadership, the importance of helping others, and just how impactful their involvement can be in helping to save lives of students like them. Please take time to talk to your child about this program and the value of giving back. Our goal for this fundraiser is $750.00. We still have a long way to go. You can help by having your child do chores to earn money to donate. Also by making a personal donation online or through the school, by taking up a collection at work, and even asking your company about matching gifts. No amount is too small to give. The deadline for donations is February 7, 2020. Please help us make a difference.

January Family of the Month

Each month, beginning this year, we are honoring one of our wonderful families. The families will be selected based on the following criteria: Parent or guardian must be a PTA member; students must have good attendance; the family must exhibit C.O.R.E. behavior at all times when in the building. The family of Caleb Edwards was awarded a $25.00 gift card. Congratulations to the January family of the month!

It is that time of the year when we need to make sure our children have appropriate clothing for recess. We will be going outside for recess if the temperature and the wind chill are above 20 degrees.
