GRANDPARENT/VIP DAY IS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6!
Students can invite their grandparents to this event. If the student’s grandparents are not able to come, feel free to invite a VIP, a Very Important Person, in their place. Since this program is Kindergarten through 5th grade, seating is minimal so please try to limit to 4 to 5 guests per family. Most students enjoy having someone join them as a guest, so it would be great if someone could come so your child doesn’t feel left out.
What happens? Guests can arrive at the school between 12:00 and 1:00 on Friday, October 6th. You need to enter doors W1, S3, N5 and sign in. Please head to the basketball gym. Parking is available on the North and West side. Please save the south side for Handicapped Parking or (those who can’t walk long distances.) Students will present a short music program at 1:00. The students will need to wear Red, White and Blue for our Patriotic program. Try to look nice! After the program, students will return to their classroom. Special guests will then be dismissed from the gym and get to visit the classrooms for cookies and drinks.
HANDICAPPED SEATING: Please keep the floor seating open for guests that are unable to get up and down the bleacher steps.
AFTER THE PROGRAM Grandparents/VIPS are invited to the Book Fair with your grandchild. It is open from 12:00 - 2:30. Students are only allowed to shop with their VIP after the program. The bookfair will be closed during the program. This will be held in the elementary gym.
EARLY CHECKOUT: Students may be checked out early following your class visit, only if you have signed out with the classroom teacher. Students need to have a signed note from a parent giving permission to go home with their special guest. Any child not leaving with a special guest will stay at school until 3:00 and go home the usual way. All students will need to be signed out with their classroom teacher before leaving. We hope someone from your family can join us for this special day.
PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
As always, if you have questions between now and then, don't hesitate to get in touch with your child's teacher.
