Supporting a Good Cause!
Hello Students and Parents,
My name is Jeremy McCabe and I am a 7th grader at Eisenhower Middle School. In June I will be going through my Bar Mitzvah which is a Jewish ceremony to become a full member of the Jewish Community. One of the requirements that I have is to do a Mitzvah Project which is where I do good deeds for my community. For my project I have chosen to focus on hunger in New Jersey and am working with NourishNJ out of Morristown.
NourishNJ has a program called the Rise and Shine Breakfast Bag program. This is where they provide a nutritious breakfast for local children in need. I am collecting donations of specific items for these breakfast bags and could use your help. There will be a place for donations in the lobby for the items until Friday April 29th.
Here is a list of the items they need:
Small boxes of cereal (they ask for non-sugar cereal)
Boxes of shelf stable milk like Parmalat
100% fruit juice boxes or small bottles of water
Granola bars
Fruit Cups
Thank you for your help,
Jeremy McCabe

Roxbury Community School Upcoming Opportunities
Kindergarten Registration is Now OPEN!
Roxbury Township Public Schools, a K-12 school district preparing the children of today for tomorrow, has set its in-person Kindergarten registration dates for the 2022/2023 school year. Children must be five years old on or before October 1, 2022 to participate. Click here for more information regarding Roxbury's Entrance Age Policy (P5112). If there are any questions regarding the policy or procedure, please reach out to Assistant Superintendent Dr. Chuck Seipp at cseipp@roxbury.org or by calling 973-584-6799.
Roxbury Township Public Schools offers a full-day kindergarten program designed to develop knowledge and skills in the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive areas. Our goal is to help children develop skills and strategies that will help them learn and establish a foundation for lifelong success in education. The program allows more time for students to address curriculum in depth and allows teachers to provide additional activities in learning.
To register for Kindergarten, parents will need to complete the online pre-registration process and begin uploading the required documents for Kindergarten. For a complete list of what to do and what to bring, visit www.roxbury.org/KindergartenRegistration.
Online registration for Kindergarten is now open. Parents are required to register their child at their home school. If the home school is unknown, please contact the Transportation Department at 973-584-6756 and based on your address, they can let you know what school your child should be attending.
If you need or prefer an in-person appointment, please contact your child’s school to schedule an appointment.
