PTO Grants

We would like to send out a big thank you to our PTO Board for approving a variety of teacher grants this past week at our PTO Meeting. We'd also like to thank our Town Center families for supporting our school and making these grants possible with funds you all helped to raise. The grants included math games for first grade, an in-line skating program to support PE skills, Time for Kids magazines and digital access for our 5th graders, additional over the ear headphones for 5th grade, registration to the National Art Educators Association Conference for our art teacher, and bus cost for our 5th graders attending Sky Ranch.

Our January database spotlight is CultureGrams. Through MackinVIA, learners can click on the database CultureGrams and access reliable cultural information on the countries of the world. CultureGrams goes beyond basic facts and figures with local perspectives on more than 200 countries, detailing daily life and culture. Each report teaches children more about the world around them. They contain images, timelines, and fun facts along with sections on history, population, “life as a kid” games, and sports.
