Can't wait to welcome you back!
Dear Families,
August is right around the corner and that means the start of the 2023-24 school year is just over a month away. Summer staff have been working to prepare our facilities for the return of staff and students and our spaces look amazing! I am so appreciative of all their work.
Each Viking student is bursting with gifts and talents and by working in partnership with you, we better serve each student. One way we improve is through the gift of feedback. An area of improvement you helped us identify was the need to enhance our website. Our team has been working on shifting to a new communications platform, which includes a transformation of our website and we now have a school district app! Families will have the ability to track their child’s school news, live feeds, and events; breakfast and lunch menus, and more. Additional information about the website and app can be found below.
We ended our school year in celebration of staff that have dedicated themselves in service to our district, and honored our retirees. Over the summer we welcomed many new staff to our Viking team! Welcome Back event information will be coming to you from each building and I am looking forward to experiencing reconnections and watching new relationships sprout!
All of us at NBAPS are looking forward to the start of the school year, welcoming students, and hitting the ground running.

School supply lists for every level are updated for the 2023-24 school year and available at this link.
Fall sports meeting is Monday, Aug. 7
All fall sports information meetings will be held on Monday, Aug. 7 at 6:30pm. High school and middle school parents and players are encouraged to attend. Full details here.

Help NBAPS "Stuff the Bus" with school supplies to help support families in need.
- August 1 - Night to Unite, 5-7 p.m. NB Central Park

K enrollment open now
If your child turns five-years-old on or before Sept. 5 they can be enrolled in Kindergarten at NBAPS. There are multiple ways to register and all new enrollments get a free "I'm a Viking" t-shirt. See flier for additional details.

Job Opportunity for High School Students
Youth Connections child care is a great first job! Flexible scheduling around student activity schedules, before and after school, working with children age 3 through 6th grade during the school year. A variety of summer hours are also available between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Fun environment and no evenings or weekends! Applicants must be 16-years-old or turning 16 soon. To apply, complete this application and return it to the North Branch Area Education Center. Call Erica Bjerketvedt at 651-674-1225 with questions.
