Shared Mailing Lists
👋 Just a heads-up!
The Shared Mailing Lists feature is currently only available to users on our Smore for Teams Accounts.
A Team Account enables teams to create newsletters, share templates and mailing lists, and communicate consistently.
How to create a Shared Mailing List
1. Create a Mailing List
- Hover over Mailing lists in the top toolbar, then click "my mailing lists"
- Click on "+ New mailing list"
- Name your Mailing list and click "Create."
2. Add Contacts
- Click "+ Add contacts"
Type or paste contacts manually (if you have multiple contacts, make sure to separate each address with a comma).
Click "Done"
You can also import a mailing list as a .CSV file. click here for instructions
3. Share the Mailing List with other members of your Smore for Teams account
- Navigate to the mailing list you would like to share, then click "Share this list"
- Search your team members' names or emails in the search bar
- Click on the member(s) you would like to add
4. Set Permission levels
To change the permission level for a specific member, click on the dropdown menu next to the member's name and choose the permission level.
- A Viewer can see all contacts in a mailing list
- An Editor can view, add, or remove contacts in a shared mailing list
- An Admin can view, add, or remove contacts in a shared mailing list, and change list permissions
FAQs
Q: What data appears in the Analytics Report?
A: For each newsletter created by your members, the report provides the following information:
- Newsletter ID
- Newsletter link
- Newsletter title
- Creation date
- Number of views this month
- Total number of views
- Author name
- Author email address
- A link to the Author's Smore Profile
Q: Can I add more data to this report?
A: At this time, we don't offer the ability to customize the data of the Analytics Report. That being said, we are working on an improved Analytics Report that will be released soon.
Q: Do you have any tips on how to organize this data so I can show it to the Board?
A: Creating a Pivot Table on Excel or Google Sheets would be the easiest way to organize this data so you can see who's the member that has the highest number of views and newsletters.
