Hello HMS families,

I hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful weather we've been having. Our staff & students are continuing to grow and learn even as we begin to wrap up this year. Now is a great time to remind your child of appropriate school behavior as well as appropriate behavior after school.

As a reminder, school starts at 7:50. Breakfast starts at 7:30. Please do not allow your child to come to school prior to 7:30 so that they are not wandering around outside unsupervised. Bus students will enter upon arrival.

Uniforms

As the weather gets warmer, students are allowed to wear shorts to school that are school appropriate. Students are not allowed to wear biker shorts, sandals or croc shoes.

Students are still required to be in uniform and school appropriate clothing each day. Please help us to to maintain this school district rule.

Please start completing your appointments for school physicals, immunizations, and dental & vision exams! Check requirements for each grade level as a guide for your student's scheduling needs

Despite warm weather, Cold & Flu season is still among us. Please keep sick students at home and encourage frequent handwashing to protect others.
Students should stay home until they are well enough to participate and are fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medication. Once your student starts improving, please test for Covid and send back to school with a negative result ASAP!
Washing your hands is easy, and it's the most effective way to prevent the spread of germs.
Covid home test kits will continue to be given to students sent home with Covid symptoms.
“Once a week, take a peek” We continue to see lice cases; please check your child’s hair weekly to prevent an outbreak in your home.
