TGT will be adjusting our rooms to get ready for our group of 4K's to attend school this fall. This year we were not able to get all of our 4k children into the am as we have in previous years. With having 4K children in both the am and pm sessions we will be adjusting our rooms. The multi-age rooms have proven to be very beneficial for the children. We have seen our older children take on roles of helping out younger friends and creating positive social relationships. And our younger friends are able to learn a great deal from the older children. This fall we will be adjusting the rooms to include our younger friends that were previously in the Evergreen and Birch. Additionally, we are trying to keep siblings in close proximity with each other. These groupings are never "set in stone." We will adjust as needed to provide the best care and opportunities for the children. We also welcome all communication and questions, as we are all working on the same team in trying to facilitate the best support for our children. The groupings are as follows;

We are very, very, excited to announce a new relationship with Center for Behavior Intervention (CBI). CBI will be utilizing the Apple Room as an outreach division of their organization. The Center for Behavior Intervention (CBI) is a therapeutic facility designed to meet the needs of individuals displaying symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as, neurological, developmental and/or behavioral concerns. The company has multiple locations in Illinois, but are pleased to be expanding to the Madison area. The goal of CBI is to empower their clients and families while supporting the growth of the clients to meet their greatest potentials. Areas of focus included but are not limited to: functional means of communication, social skills, daily living skills and academics. In addition, behavior management is addressed as needed, with a focus on reducing any inappropriate behaviors and replacing them with appropriate alternative behaviors.

The therapists will be working within our classrooms and may be pulling children to work individually in the Apple room or within small groups. This is a great opportunity to provide the critical support that children need. As you know, TGT is an inclusive program, which not only provides benefits to those children with additional needs, but it provides benefits for those children with non-additional supportive needs as well. By forming this relationship with CBI we are better able to meet the needs of all our children. We will be providing a form for parents to sign if they would like their children included in CBI's peer support groups.

CBI’s staff includes a team of highly trained and skilled Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). CBI currently works with private insurance companies, state funding sources for payment. Private pay rates are also available.
