School Device Returns THIS WEEK - 06/16-06/17
DON'T FORGET - All student technology (iPads, Chromebooks, internet hotspots, chargers and black carrying cases) must be returned to teachers THIS WEEK:
- Cohort A will return all of their devices on Wednesday, 06/16.
- Cohort B will return all of their devices on Thursday, 06/17.
Modified Student Schedule - Thursday, 06/17 & Friday, 06/18
All students will follow a modified scheduled during the final two days of school. Please refer to the schedule below to find out what time your child will come for in-person learning on Thursday and Friday.
8:00-9:30 am - Cohort B in-person learning
9:30-10:15 am - Custodians clean & sanitize classrooms
10:15-11:45 am - Cohort A in-person learning
8:00-9:30 am - Cohort B in-person learning

DON'T FORGET!
- 2021-22 ASES: Mr. Sergio would like to remind families that the ASES after school program is expected to return as an in-person program for the 2021-22 school year. If you're interested in signing up your child, please pick up an application from the school office and return it as soon as possible. Families may also pick-up applications from the ASES office from 2:30-5:00 pm. Just ring the ASES doorbell outside of the glass doors, and Mr. Sergio will come out to hand you an application. Space is limited and returning an application does not guarantee ASES enrollment. Please contact ASES with any questions at (805) 488-3541, x. 3086 or email them at wms-ases@hueneme.org.
- 2021-22 Hueneme at Home: Priority enrollment for next year's H@H Digital Academy has already closed. If you'd like to be added to the H@H waiting list, please click here: H@H Waiting List Google Form.
WHAT'S NEW?
- 2021-22 Williams PTA: We are looking for staff and parents interested in being a part of our Williams PTA for the upcoming 2021-22 school year. This year was tough but we're ready to get our PTA team back together again for the next year. Please email Principal Granado at mgranado@hueneme.org, if you are interested in joining next year's PTA. Thank you for your consideration!
- Extended TK/K Hours for 2021-22: We are excited to announce that our Transitional Kindergarten-Kindergarten teacher team will be offering parents extended TK hours and extended Kindergarten hours next year. The start dates for the extended schedule will vary depending on whether your child is in the TK or K program. More information will be available soon!
- Summer School: Students who have secured a spot for this year's Summer Adventure (July 6-30) will be receiving a confirmation letter this week. Please review the information contained in the letter, especially the bus pick-up/drop-off schedule. If you have questions about your letter, please contact Principal Granado at (805) 488-3541, x. 0.
OFFICE NEWS:
- Attendance Reminder: We still need families to contact our office if a student will be absent from in-person or remote learning during the LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL. (805) 488-3541, ext. 0.
- Office Hours: Our office will maintain their regular office hours during the last week of school. Monday-Friday from 7:30-4:00 pm.
- Longer TK/K Registration Hours: 2021-22 TK/K registrations will continue being accepted Monday-Friday for the next two weeks (June 14-25) from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Please call our office if you need an evening appointment. 805-488-3541, ext. 0.
- T3 Report Cards: Families will receive end of the year student assessment reports and the 3rd trimester report card on the final day of school (Friday, 06/18) or by mail the following week. Please communicate with your child's teacher about final report cards.
Do I Need to Re-Register My Child?
Lots of families have inquired whether they need to re-register their Williams student for the following school year. Please read through the following examples to find out if you need to re-register your child:
- If your child was part of the Hueneme at Home Digital Academy this year but they'll be returning to Williams next year, then you don't need to re-register again. Williams students, who were enrolled in H@H this year, will automatically return to their neighborhood school.
- If you plan on having your TK-4th grade Williams student continue attending our wonderful school next year, then you don't need to register them again. Their registration will automatically roll over into next year.
- If your fifth grader will be attending Blackstock Jr. High School next year, then you don't have to register them again. Their school files will be transferred to Blackstock over the summer.
- If your child will be moving to a different elementary school within the Hueneme Elementary School District next year, then you will have to register them at their new school.
- If your fifth grader will be attending a different junior high school other than Blackstock, then you will have to register them at their new junior high school.
