Students in grades 3-5 voted on student concerns, such as "homework versus no homework," by filling out ballots. They shared these views and experienced what poll booths feel like by "rocking their vote!"
Thank you to the PTA for sponsoring the Hair Care Program for fifth grade students, in which they learned hands-on hair care techniques on practice doll heads.
PS 20 students gathered together with their blankets and sleeping bags to watch the newest "Little Mermaid" movie. They also had fun enjoying the different snacks that were provided!
November 21, 2023: Liberty House Tree Decorating Contest
Congratulations to Mr. Marck, Miss Jayme, and Ms. Maize's fourth grade class for winning third place in the annual Liberty House Tree Decorating Contest! The beautiful handcrafted ornaments and decorations really represented the theme of "Sweet Little Greenville!"
November 21, 2023: Story SELebration Assembly
Karen “Queen Nur” Abdul-Malik is a nationally renowned storyteller and teaching artist. The students enjoyed singing chants and listening to stories that dealt with social-emotional learning, while learning self-awareness, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. This program featured live drumming accompaniment.
November 22, 2023: Wheel of Dolphin Assembly
By following the BLUE school motto, PS 20 students are reminded that they can earn Dolphin Dollars as a reward for kind acts. Many lucky students who received Dolphin Dollars were able to win prizes from having their names drawn and spinning the special Wheel of Dolphin!
