Juniors will be completing the Pre-Bubble In portion of the SAT answer sheet later this month. At this time you can select up to four colleges/universities/NCAA to send your scores free of charge. Talk with your family about which colleges, if any, you would like to send your scores. There is a $15 per score, per college fee if you choose not to use these free score sends.

Current Juniors will be participating in the IL State Funded SAT test on April 12th. This is a graduation requirement and will be given at HHS during the school day. Students may utilize Khan Academy for test prep. Colleges will accept SAT scores from this test date as part of your college application.

There are a lot of opportunities for students to get money to help pay for college. Applications are available in the Career Center. Homeroom is a great time to pop in and see what's available.

Freshman and Sophomore students will be participating in the PSAT 9 or PSAT 10 on April 26th as part of State testing. Students are reminded to be on time, bring non-mechanical number 2 pencils and a calculator on test day. Test results will be available through a student's college board account this summer. These can be created at any time at www.collegeboard.org. Please be sure to use the same address you enter on your answer sheet as when you create your account. This is how college board will link scores.

All Juniors are required to take the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA) on April 26 from approximately 7:40-11:40am. This is a computer based test that has three sessions that are estimated at 40 minutes each, although the test is technically untimed.

March 15th is the ABSOLUTE last day to drop an AP Exam.

School Counselors will be meeting with Seniors in April to complete their exit interview. At this meeting seniors will report plans for after high school and complete their final transcript request. Students will also report institutional scholarships awarded and money received. This info will help us plan for Decision Day.

Seniors on Monday May 1st we will be celebrating your decisions for the future. Employment, Enlistment or Enrollment- All are worth celebrating. Wear T-shirts, bring banners, or hard hats, etc.- we will take your photos and post to social media throughout the day to celebrate your decisions.

The Business Education Alliance is sponsoring Job Shadow days on April 12th and 26th. This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about local job opportunities and careers. More info to follow.

Students may want to consider taking the ACT on a National Test date. They must sign up for a National Test date so scores are ready when students apply for college their senior year. For testing dates, registration deadlines, more information and to sign up visit http://www.actstudent.org
