Happy August, GRHS Longhorns,
It's almost GO TIME! Hang on tight and take a deep breath because I have included important information! Please be patient with me as I am front-loading a lot of information right now in great detail, so we are crystal clear and leave no room for uncertainty. The student code of conduct handbook CHANGES, bus route information, and course verification window information are time sensitive! The last day to change courses is tomorrow, MONDAY, 8/7/2023. This is a hard deadline!

As always, please make sure you are checking your email each Sunday for important information and updates on all things GR! I should have access to all 9th-12th graders! Ensure you have not blocked my Skyward callouts/emails so you are included! Also, check your junk and spam folders; sometimes it will go there too! Welcome to the Ranch!
Students, this will be going to your Office 365 school email. You must check it, as you are now in high school and must actively participate in your success! Parents, this will be coming to the email you listed in Skyward on your beginning-of-year forms.

PARKING PASS TIME:
Seniors and Juniors have received an email from Mrs. Patterson with requirements and detailed instructions to request and purchase their parking passes for the 23-24 school year. There is a HOLD on all Sophomore passes until the contractor finishes the additional front lot in mid-late September. Seniors and Juniors have priority right now. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. We are short over 100 spots right now and have no control over that.
You will need pictures of these three documents to upload and complete the process:
- Drivers License (no permits allowed)
- Insurance Card (listing you as a driver)
- Screenshot of Completed Payment (QR code payment link included in the email)
The construction update video is being filmed this week and will be in next week's issue! Stay tuned! I will update you with more information, including the alternate ways you will have to enter our building this year. We are working hard to ensure that we maintain the same level of safety and security for your students and my staff starting day one!
As always, we are here to help! If you have any questions AFTER READING THROUGH THE NEWSLETTER, please contact your student's Assistant Principal for help! I have included their contact info below to make it easy for you!

Greetings Longhorns,
As the new school year begins, it is important to review your current courses. The courses listed are a result of the counselor/student one on one sit-downs, also counselors providing the opportunity to make changes in May during course verifications.
At this point, the master schedule created is based on your choices. To ensure student schedule accuracy and correct anything that may have been missed, please review, and make corrections.
Please look at your courses ONE LAST TIME. The only changes allowed must meet one of the requirements below. If there is a mistake, click on the link/QR code corresponding to your counselor AUGUST 4TH-7TH!
REMINDER: Counselors are assigned by YOUR LAST NAME.
Hard Deadline to make changes is Aug 7th 11:59pm
