Survey for Parents
In Summer 2022, Caroline County Public Schools (CCPS) engaged the services of FourPoint Education Partners, with support from the Maryland Leads Initiative, to assess and recommend strategies for strengthening and expanding school- and community-based afterschool and summer program offerings. As part of this review, FourPoint Education is conducting surveys with students, parents, and teachers to collect feedback on afterschool and summer programs and activities. Survey data will be a critical component of the findings and recommendations provided by the FourPoint team.
The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Please provide candid feedback. Your responses will be completely confidential. Please complete the survey by December 7th. Thank you for your participation in and support for this effort.

PTA News
Come join us for our Jolly Jamboree on December 20, 2022 from
5:30 to 7:30! The event will take place the same night as the GES
Christmas Caroling event. Start your evening at the Greensboro
Elementary School drive through caroling event (5:30-6:30) and
head over to Greater Impact Church for a visit with Santa and
Mrs. Claus. While there, our friendly volunteers will be available
to assist you with your family photos. Just bring your own camera
and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie. The cost is $1.00
per person and kids under 3 are free! We will also have a basket
of goodies to raffle off during the event. It is sure to be a great time for all!
Look for more information coming home in your child’s folder.
Budding Learners Club
We had such a great time at our November incentive for our Budding Learners Club! Our participation increases each month! Completing the reading/math calendar each month helps students develop reading and math fluency skills that will result in improved success in the classroom! We cannot wait to see how many students complete their December calendars!
We would like to give a special thank you to Tenchi for supporting our students with free ice cream for each child who participates in our club each month! Look at all the smiles when they received their coupons!

Green School Committee News!
We will be implementing no-idling zones in our drop off and pick up line.
No Idling Zones help promote turning off vehicles that are not moving. Making sure your vehicle is not idling helps reduce unnecessary air pollution that could negatively impact our health and our Earth. It is especially beneficial for students, workers, and visitors with asthma and allergies.
Our no idling signs notify drivers to turn off their engines and remind them of the benefits of cleaner air. Even though they are not moving, idling vehicles still create exhaust, which contributes to the formation of ozone smog and harmful pollution and can negatively affect lung growth and development in children.
Also, idling vehicles waste fuel and increase unnecessary wear and tear on the vehicle's engine. Furthermore, by turning off your vehicle you are helping save our planet AND saving money!
Idling your car for just 10 minutes a day can waste an average of about 5.5 gallons of gasoline a the month! Idling a vehicle wastes between 1/4 to 1/2 gallon of fuel an hour, which can add up to $70-650 a year! Save our children, save our Earth, and save your money!
